- Encourage a renewal project to see Leicester's empty and abandoned buildings regenerated for use by our community.
- Introduce a "Pothole Patrol" where residents can report road issues via a QR code, which will be reported to Leicester City Council.
- Together, we'll hold the Labour City Mayor accountable to ensure that all of Leicester is as great as it deserves to be, for everyone.
We want to see our city grow stronger with us. We share this vision, and it’s so important that our Labour City Mayor, Sir Peter Soulsby, is held accountable for the lack of regeneration we can see across our city.
One of the ways we can do this is through the introduction of a “Pothole Patrol”, where residents have the opportunity to report road safety issues to my office, which will then be reported to Leicester City Council, with a dedicated team chasing up to push for results.
We also have to fight for empty and abandoned buildings to be filled again, whether that’s by local businesses, utilised by local charities, or for use by the local community. This will help keep our community alive and thriving, meaning our city gives back to the community, and vice versa.
The City Mayor is instrumental in this, and if we really want to see our city be the best it possibly can be, it falls to us to make sure he knows exactly what he needs to do to make that happen.
